Frottage
Frottage (2025-26) is made of canvas works cut to the artist’s height that are used to record a montage of graphite rubbings across multiple areas in the hospital. Walls, floorboards, windows and floor details are subtly blended together on each canvas. This continues a theme of representing recollection of our surroundings rather than the overview itself, only this time without a camera. As these canvases are suspended from above, a bodily reading is felt as the collection of marks open a portal into the psychoarchitecture of the space.
